PERS - Personal Medical Service

Until recently, Personal Emergency Response Service (PERS) was available only from companies that sold direct to consumers using nationwide television advertising. Today, Ashton Security is able to provide you or family members PERS protection, but with the same high-level service you are accustomed to receiving for your alarm system.

Here's How it Works

A PERS control panel plugs into a standard electrical outlet and a live telephone jack to enable communication with Ashton Security's around-the-clock call center with the push of a button. The PERS subscriber wears an emergency transmitter - usually a lightweight necklace, wristband or on a belt clip - and when the button is pushed, it sends a signal to a control panel. This activates an advanced two-way voice communicator built into the control panel that allows the subscriber and the Ashton monitor to speak to each other from almost anywhere in the home. The trained Ashton Security monitor will announce that they have received an emergency signal. After discussing the situation with the subscriber, a quick evaluation will be made as to whether an ambulance is needed or if a call should be placed to a designated friend or family member. After calling the appropriate responders, Ashton Security monitors can also conference call a friend or family member.
